In 2010, for the first time ever, an African country will host the World Cup. It is the most televised and watched sport event in the world. From June 11 to July 11 2010, the planet's eyes will be on South Africa.

We are a team of multimedia reporters who will be traveling all over Africa starting January 2010 reporting stories on soccer. Our journey will start in Morocco and end in South Africa with stops in Nigeria, Cameroon, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Kenya, Uganda and Angola. We will bring you stories that portray the cultural and political significance of soccer in Africa from the street level.

Soccer is the most popular sport in Africa and is a major aspect of African culture. People play it everywhere, on the fields and in the streets. Some of the world's most important players come from African countries such as Ghana and Cameroon.

Our combined backgrounds in feature writing, beat reporting, embedded journalism and documentary film make us an ideal team. We have experience with a variety of digital media techniques and are well versed in the latest equipment and software technology.
